Questions about your pet's medication?

If your pet experiences a health emergency, call your veterinarian or go to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic. If you have any questions about the proper use of medication, if your pet experiences a side effect from using a medication please call Vetsource directly to speak with a pharmacist at (855) 683-6050. Vetsource’s pharmacists are available Monday through Friday, 8am-8pm EST and Saturdays 10am-4pm EST

How can I share my prescription with the pharmacy?

There are 3 ways to submit your prescription order for approval. Depending on the item type, customers can select the “Contact Vet” option in the checkout process—where the pharmacy will reach out to the vet directly. Customers can attach their original prescription, or can mail-in written prescriptions to:

How long does it take to get my prescription order?

If you do not have a prescription on file with the pharmacy, vet approval typically takes between 4-5 business days for prescription medication or food items. Please make sure to send written prescriptions 1-2 days after the initial order placement. Please note that written mail-in prescription approval takes longer to process.

Are prescription items refundable?

We are unable to take returns or offer refunds on prescription products due to state and federal laws prohibiting pharmacies from reselling prescription products. Therapeutic nutrition includes a manufacturer's guarantee. In unique cases, customers may qualify for an item or order replacement. Please call us at (888) 667-1214 for support.

Are there any item or discount exclusions?

Yes. Prescription medication and veterinary diet foods are excluded from receiving site-level promo discounts and are not a part of our brand loyalty program. Customers will earn points for every dollar spent on prescription medication and veterinary diet foods. $10 Reward vouchers can be used on pharmacy items. Reward vouchers cannot be combined with AutoOrder discounts.

Is delivery available to my address?

Therapeutic nutrition’s only available for delivery in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Michigan, and North Carolina

Why do prescription products need veterinarian approval?

Medications require a prescription and therapeutic nutrition requires vet authorization from a veterinarian who has seen your pet within the last year. This Veterinary Client Patient Relationship (VCPR) is necessary to make sure the medication or diet is appropriate for your pet and is required before an order can be shipped.

How do I dispose of unused or expired prescription products?

Information on the proper disposal of unused medicines can be found on the FDA website

Can I ship my pet's prescription to the store?

No. Prescription orders may be delivered to home.
