Usage
Prascend® Tablets should be given to your horse as directed by your veterinarian.  Do not crush the tablets. Wear gloves when handling.
Missed Doses
Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once.
Side Effects
Side effects may include decreased appetite and lack of energy.  More rarely, some horses may experience:  lameness, diarrhea/loose stools, colic, abnormal weight loss, and mild behavioral changes. Contact your veterinarian if your horse experiences any of the above rare and/or serious side effects.
Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
Drug & Food Interactions
The following drugs can potentially interact with pergolide: metoclopramide and dopamine antagonists (e.g. phenothiazines). Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.
Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your horse. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your horse more closely.
Cautions
Pregnant or lactating women should wear gloves when administering this product. It has been reported that pergolide tablets may cause eye irritation, an irritating smell, or headache when Prascend Tablets are split or crushed. Store this product separately away from human medicinal products and handle this product with care to avoid accidental ingestion.

In case of accidental ingestion seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician.
