  When our Vet recommended we move to a senior food for our labrador retriever, we had difficulty finding a quality one that was not grain free. This food was highly recommended by the staff at Chow Hound as "what I give my dogs when raw is not available". Our dog lost the 20-ish pounds the Vet recommended and has remained healthy for the years he has been on the food. I do highly recommend this food for senior dogs that need to manage weight.
