Animax® Ointment 7.5 ml & 15 ml: yellow-buff colored ointment. (NDC 17033-0122-75, 17033-0122-15)
Benefits
- Used externally to treat a variety of skin conditions that result from fungal and/or bacterial infection in dogs and cats
- Used in the management of dermatologic disorder in dogs and cats, characterized by inflammation and dry or exudative dermatitis, particularly those caused, complicated or threatened by bacterial or candidal (Candida albicans) infections
- Used in eczematous dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and seborrheic dermatitis; and as an adjunct in the treatment of dermatitis due to parasitic infestation

Usage
Animax® Ointment should be applied topically as directed by your veterinarian. Wash hands after application.
Missed Doses
Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once.
Side Effects
This medication is generally well tolerated and side effects are rare. Some pets may be sensitive to the neomycin component of this medication. If redness, irritation, or swelling persists, contact your veterinarian. If you notice anything unusual or if use of the medication is troublesome for your pet, contact your veterinarian.

There are no documented drug interactions with this medication. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. There are no drug interactions reported with this medication. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.
Cautions
Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.

Store at 68°F to 77°F in controlled room temperature. Avoid excessive heat (104°F). Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Store in a childproof container. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store this medicine in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink or in damp places. The medicine may break down if exposed to heat or moisture.
